The acquisition consisted of a series of tubes and a series of moving boxes. For the drawings, there was a binder containing lists of drawings of the transferred works (found in the archive under inventory number 167), with a note per work of the numbers of the original tubes, as received by the NAI from the agency. When the archives were processed, these original tube numbers for each work were recorded in the NAI's Collection Information System. A list and table of contents accompanied the moving boxes containing items of an administrative nature. The boxes were numbered. These numbers, too, were recorded per work in the Collection Information System. Also in the list of pieces not selected for preservation, as prepared by the NAI, there is a reference to the tube numbers and box numbers from which they came. The drawing lists accompanying the tubes indicate (inv. no. 167) which works have microfiches on file. This information is listed for each work in the Collection Information System. The achief Onno Greiner is described in an inventory with a classic scheme of headings for architectural archives. The designs are described within the heading professional practice, arranged by work number.
