Verhoeven's work provides a characteristic picture of architecture from the 1970s and early 1980s. The clear structuralist characteristics, his commitment to the New Housing Forms Foundation and the appreciation he also receives for his specific style make his work special. Verhoeven's archive makes an important contribution to the NAI's collection in order to show the most representative picture of this period.
Verhoeven designed many of his buildings using scale models. Some sixty of these have been preserved in the archive.
The donation consists of the complete office archive of the Jan Verhoeven architecture firm: 286 rolls and tubes, 77 panels, 18 meters of miscellaneous archival materials (loose and in boxes), 73 models and model parts and microfiches.
