* brief description:Design of a ULO school in Gorinchem (1957-1961). The first four drawings concern sketch designs for the layout of the entire school complex. Along with placement of the three schools (ULO, GLO and kindergarten) in relation to each other, the placement of the classrooms (to corridor, hallway or combination) is considered. The final design will be a fourteen-classroom school composed of two floors. Each floor houses seven classrooms along two corridors with the stairwell in the middle and an extension with entrance, hall, janitor and checkroom. At the head of this building section is a community room on which two classrooms may later be placed. The construction is visible on the outside; horizontal concrete beams and vertically articulated by brick columns. The ULO and the GLO are both located on one side of the site with a playground in the middle. A gymnasium is planned in the corner, between the two buildings.
