A small part of the archive includes architectural designs; the vast majority concerns documents of M. Kamerling's membership in the architectural group De "8" and his participation in the development of the village of Nagele in the Northeast Polder.
In 1948, the architectural group De "8" was commissioned by the Direction of the Wieringermeer (Noordoostpolder Works) , later the Rijksdienst voor de Ijsselmeerpolders, to develop an urban plan for Nagele. It was worked on for ten years.
Kamerling played an important role in the creation of the final plan. Various sketches and designs for Nagele are described in the archive, including sketches and designs by other "8" members, such as Rietveld, Elling, Stam, etc. (see list no. 43-50).
