* brief description:Design of a housing project commissioned by Mr. Van Elmpt for the plan 'Bankras Kostverloren' in Amstelveen (1961-1964). A design is made of three types of housing of which two are further elaborated: single-family houses on substructure and two types of bungalows linked together. The design of the single-family houses with flat roof, two high, a cantilevered second floor with loggia is not further developed.
Two standard types (A and B) of bungalows: a patio on the left or right, the size of the rooms differs, the placement is largely similar; rectangular plan, one storey, from a vestibule access to the hall from which all rooms are accessible. The bungalows are constructed with white glazed stone.
In front of the blocks of bungalows there will be a row of ten single-family houses on a substructure. On the first floor will be the garage, storage room and extra bedroom, the living area will be housed on the second floor, the sleeping area on the second. A gable roof was planned on the first design of this building type.
