* brief description:Design of 30 houses, 9 stores and 14 garages in Voorschoten, commissioned by the N.V. Coördinatiebouw Hilversum (1960-1962). The design consists of one row of garage boxes and two perpendicular residential/shopping strips. In one strip, the first floor is occupied by retail space (three storeys), in the other by storerooms (four storeys). Above the first floor are gallery apartments. Both strips have the same facade design. At the front, each apartment has a large window with a balcony next to it. The parapets are of colored glass. At the rear are windows interspersed with a door providing access to the dwelling. Subsequent site drawings show a new layout of the strips and layout of the dwellings (maisonette), but ultimately the gallery dwelling is chosen.
