* brief description:Design of a bank building with stores in Hoogeveen, commissioned by the Amro-bank (1973-1975). In the first design, the building consists of two parts: one part consisting of one storey with a roof structure and one part consisting of three storeys in which the façade cantilevers forward on one side over the height of both storeys. The structure of the final design is simpler. The main volume has a square ground plan and consists of three floors. On one side there is an extension composed of two layers (the upper layer protrudes), at the rear there is a building section composed of one layer. The bank and stores are located on the first floor, on the upper floors are the offices, staff rooms and archives. The front facade of the first floor consists almost entirely of glass. The first and second floors have a horizontal strip of windows with a concrete brick parapet. The building is closed by a cantilevered aluminum cornice. The remaining facades are mostly clad in concrete brick.
