Dapper on p. 275-276 provides an engraving of the Handboogsdoelen/Stadsmagazijn/Voetboogsdoelen and Wagenaar gives a brief description of the Handboogsdoelen at 74: 'The Handboogsdoelen used to have a respectable old-fashioned façade, and, in addition to the main entrance, to the south a gate, through which one went to the shooting range: above which gate, S.. Sebastian, the patron saint of the archers, was carved with arrows. But this facade has been demolished before many years, and changed into a facade, more suitable to the modern way of building.
