In early 1923, possibly in late 1922, De Klerk received a commission for a residential house in Wassenaar. The plot was located at the junction of the Lange Kerkdam and a canal, the Zijlwatering. Nothing is known about the client except that, given the size and decoration of the design, it was a commission with a generous budget. The project was not realized. The Wijdeveld archive also contains drawings of this project; inventory number WIJD860. The Berghoef archive contains photographic material; inventory number BERX ph39-44.
