NS lets build : stations since 1980
The Sphinx Culture Prize was awarded to the NS for stations built after 1980. A number of these stations are pictured and discussed, including station Voorburg (1988) by Van der Gaast and J. Bak. The canopy of this station, designed by Van der Gaast, is image-defining. The jury report pays special attention to Van der Gaast because his canopy constructions from the 1960s represented a breakthrough that could only be continued in the 1980s.
