According to this brochure, the filling in of the useless canals between Stationsplein and Prins Hendrikkade would create a square 340 by 150 m., which would provide space for two blocks, the western one intended for a stock exchange (possibly a stock exchange) and the eastern one for stores, offices, meeting rooms and restaurants.
