The great hall on the inner court at The Hague
It is indicated that in 1814 the Controller or Architect der Landsgebouwen A. Noordendorp saw to it that the hall was restored. He renewed the windows, repaired the roof and gutters and put the building in a `new gothic dress', which according to the author looked out of place under the old, simple roof. The hall had served as a military hospital from 1812 to 1814. In 1815 it again served as a vestibule for the Court of Justice and for the draws of the State Lottery.
