The wind climate for residence in urban areas : an impetus for standardization
A test design was used to investigate at which wind speeds in relation to other climatic variables (temperature, solar radiation) a good residential climate can be expected in urban areas. From the observations it is clear, that the limit for an acceptable wind speed in residential areas is closer to 1 m per sec. than to the 5 to 6 m per sec. commonly used.
