As part of an exploration of the job-creating function of recreation, seven initiatives in the recreation and tourism sector were discussed, as well as the background of leisure activities in the Netherlands, and the possible gaps in the market. Furthermore, the value of new initiatives for the various stakeholders, the differences between the various types of projects, support and financing possibilities were discussed.
