Volume 14 of the Leiden Art History Yearbook `The Dutch interior goes beyond its limits` contains some twenty contributions by researchers treating aspects of foreign influence on Dutch residential culture. The publication is also a modest tribute to Prof. Dr. C. Willemijn Fock, who was Professor of the History of Applied Arts at Leiden University for twenty-five years. During those years, the department she headed grew into the Department of Applied Arts and Industrial Design, an academic center of international reputation, both within the university world and beyond. Numerous talented researchers were trained in Leiden, some of whom contributed to this volume.
