Actions : what you can do with the city
Timely investigation of the relations of the city, both with its own built environment and with a more complex range of social economic and environmental issues. In particular the four key human actions of gardening, recycling, playing and walking are examined in the context of how they can inform the design of the city. Themes include recent planning proposals connected with the production of food and the presence of urban agriculture; contemporary strategies for recycling garbage; the urban fabric as the perfect playground for skateboarding, biking and parkour.
