Literature written in the style of computer code, electroacoustic compositions with newly created sounds, as well as subcultures with clearly recognizable expressions from Internet pornography to neo-Nazis and anti-copyright activists: high-, low- and subculture have long since become inseparable, even to the extent that they refer to themselves. Art and media criticism focuses primarily on the concepts, not the objects themselves. Florian Cramer shows in Anti-Media, through close reading of cultural expressions and analysis of media and art criticism, how these always reflect on their own tradition, language and medium and also try to overthrow them.
