The catalog bOb Van Reeth - Architect collects forty designs Van Reeth has created over the past half century. Rather than an oeuvre complète, it is a cross-section through his work, like a greatest hits compilation in which almost every year of his designer's career is represented. In making visible an architectural approach through individual and successive works, from the 1960s to the present day, this book aims to fill a gap in the architectural culture of the Low Countries - Van Reeth's work was last collected from start to finish in book form in 1985. The forty projects in this book are each accompanied and illustrated by one pre-existing text: concept notes by Van Reeth himself, as well as excerpts from interviews, essays, newspaper or magazine articles, reviews, student essays and architecture yearbooks. In this way, something of the consistency and diversity that has characterized Van Reeth's approach over five decades is also preserved on paper, and made possible time and again, project after project, thanks to a powerful design choice.
