What is web culture or e-culture? What is happening in cyberspace? What can we ourselves do on the web? Now that the first generation that grew up with computers and the Internet from a young age has left school and is participating in the job market, these kinds of questions are becoming relevant to everyone. The Internet has penetrated our society to such an extent that everyone has to deal with it. But not only that, everyone can contribute to it. Boundaries between information producer and information consumer are blurring and terms like citizen journalism or total democracy are emerging. The Internet has great influence on our contemporary culture and social structure. Influences whose long-term consequences we cannot yet all foresee, but which we cannot avoid. The course not only provides a broad vision of web culture, but also gives the basic skills to experiment and participate in that culture and social structure yourself.
