Graphic designer Frans Lieshout starts working at Total Design in 1979 in the team of Ben Bos, where he gets plenty of opportunities to develop. When he was asked to join Jelle van der Toorn Vrijthoff's team, his career gained momentum. Lieshout's free thinking fits well with the new direction van der Toorn Vrijthoff has in mind for TD. His groundbreaking first Total Design book, among others, brought him international fame. At the time, he emerged as a digital pioneer of the trade. Later, too, at Design Connection and Cascade, with striking typography, rich imagery and perfect execution, he manages to create work that inspires and excites. To this day, he continues to push boundaries with both applied and free work.
