For the editors of Forum, the home is a safe place from which we explore the relevance of architecture to everyday life. Forum magazine's new series (2018-2022) explores architecture as a cultural task. Different spaces of the house are the guide in it. At a time when sustainability, capital, innovation and earning models overshadow the story of architecture, we revisit its essence: feeling at home in a spatial entity - the house. We question the spaces that shelter and protect us, but also connect us to the world around us, spaces that enclose and unlock. We will create ten editions of Forum that together will form the journey through the house. Each edition will visit a space of the house, such as the hall, living room, kitchen, bedroom, garden, bathroom, attic, music room, technical room or pantry. Starting from everyday notions about the space in question, a journey through history unfolds through metaphors, theoretical reflections and current designs and buildings. We invite peers and other experts to fill the space with "stories. We consider the space from different perspectives: near and far, with all the senses through poetry, essays, interviews, reports and visual stories. The collection of stories stimulate the imagination, can contradict or complement each other and make the reader wonder. We are not trying to be exhaustive. We want to inspire the reader to go on their own journey and discover. We approach the house as a cultural task, questioning everyday life and commenting on the way we live today. We try to get to the bottom of things. We emphasize the necessity of the home and the quality of living and living in our complex and dynamic world.
