'No Seat At the Table' is a graphic novel about the local effects of gentrification on residents disadvantaged by this process, in four different cities: Ankara, Istanbul, Amsterdam and Utrecht. The team consists of writer and social innovator Minem Sezgin, illustrator Bob Mollema for the Utrecht story, illustrator Jasmijn de Noord for the Amsterdam story, illustrator Rajab Eryigit for the Istanbul story and illustrator Erhan Muratoglu for the Ankara story. The project explores the differences and similarities of the changes in these cities due to this global phenomenon. The book tells the true stories of residents from the perspective of a pigeon. This dove is the storyteller in the book and symbolizes as a strong observer who sees the city from above, but also for someone without a voice within important urban renewal decisions.
