All seasons recreation in the Palace area
Date published 10-1979. This article describes a design by architectural firm Eijkelenboom, Gerritse and Middelhoek B.V. for a center for recreation and commerce, the Palace complex in Scheveningen. The complex will be built on the site of the demolished Palace hotel (photo exterior). The complex will include stores, boutiques, catering establishments and some 200 residences in three residential towers. The complex is expected to serve some sort of service function for visitors to the beach and Boulevard. The piece takes a critical stance on this complex (floor plan, facade views). This article is part of a theme issue of the magazine 'De Architect' dedicated to the developments of the seaside resort of Scheveningen.
