In this interview, Luzia Hartsuyker-Curjel discusses Tschumi's design Parc de la Villette, which is a demonstration of "fragmented architecture. Luzia Hartsuyker criticizes the lack of a structure or coherence in this design. She broadens her criticism by also pointing to the urban plan for the Burgerziekenhuisterrein in Amsterdam by architectural firm Mecano, in which she is involved as an external consultant. She also finds the 'urban villas' planned there too inconsistent in the plan. She finds the introduction by the philosopher Eric Bolle on deconstructivism in architecture at the recently held study day on the quality of post-war neighborhoods by the working group 5 x 5 interesting in this context, but this new direction does not meet with her approval.
