Architect Kromhout of Voorburg restored the Groote or St. Bartholomew's Church in Schoonhoven from 1927 to 1934. Concrete firm Van Waning & Co. of Rotterdam supplied the concrete foundation. Van der Ende in Schoonhoven restored the chancel. Visual artist Theo Vos in Amsterdam and visual artist Theo van Reyn in Haarlem created sculptures.
