OTYPE=R : chailletcompleet.txt : 00386 | Description of a house, built by Arno Nicolaï, on a knoll in the town of Rolde near Assen. Due to site elevations, the house was built on several levels. The entrance hall with garage, pantry and guest room are on the lowest level. Through an interior staircase, half a floor higher are the dining hall, kitchen, utility room, bedrooms and bathroom. Another half floor higher is the living room with adjacent study area + archive of the master of the house. Adjacent to the dining room is the terrace. Floor and walls merge there, creating a clear indoor-outdoor relationship. The view to the outside has been taken into account as much as possible by the location of the windows.
