The author does not have a good word to say about it. He takes Kropholler's work completely to task: "In Alkmaar, a police station and the office building of an insurance bank stand right next to each other. Both are works by the architect Kropholler. What now typifies the police station and what distinctively characterizes the bank is unclear to us. Both resemble each other like drops of water......and the town hall in Noordwijkerhout."
