H.G. Jansen and W. Kromhout designed American Hotel in Amsterdam. Management Americanhotel in Amsterdam was client. Americanhotel Maatschappij bought police station and fire station on Leidsekade. Municipality of Amsterdam sold on condition of a new police station on Leidsekade and a new fire station on Marnixstraat. W. Volmer was director Americanhotel at the time of Kromhout's new building.
