The article describes the problematic location of the station building and the solutions found for it: passages to the station, under the rising road, and a roof covering of hyppar shells to camouflage the non parallel horizontal lines. Next is a description of the building. Construction began in late 1960; it was completed in 1963. Railroad Construction was the architectural firm. The Fa. Van Vliet and Van Dulst in Rotterdam was the contractor. The Fa. De Vries Robbé of Gorinchem performed the steel construction. The Fa. Nebima of Haarlem made the curtain walls. The Fa. NEMAHO in Doetinchem constructed the wooden shell roofs.
