However, indiscriminate imitation leads to nothing. In particular, studying the principles of ancient Eastern (Egyptian, Assyrian, Persian and Arabic) architecture, which influenced Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Romanesque and Gothic architecture, Evers said, can stimulate the emergence of new ideas. Results of the influence of Old Eastern architecture Evers sees especially in contemporary French architecture. The six installments of this series have also been published as a book.
