Wooden hyppar bowls for Schiedam station
The reason why the architect applied a roof cover of 24 wooden hyppar shells is explained. It is the solution to a visual problem, which is to cover up two non parallel horizontal lines. Then it is made clear what hyppar shells are. The small hyppar shells that served as roofing for the reception hall could be made in the factory. The large hyppar shell above the passenger tunnel was constructed on site. The Fa.
