After preliminary discussions over the past few months, it was decided at a meeting held in Utrecht on July 2, [1955] to establish a new architects' organization under the name Nederlands Architecten Genootschap. According to a statement sent to us, the provisional leadership rests with the following persons: E. Reitsma, architect at Deventer, provisional chairman; J. Henselmans, architect at Eindhoven, board member for special services; G. Filarski, architect at Bergen, treasurer; C. Aling, architect at Utrecht, chairman working group. Further members of the board are J. Beckering Vinckers b.i., architect in Nunspeet; C.J. Barth, architect in 's-Gravendeel and R. de Vries, architect in Appingedam. The N.A.G. existed until 1987, when it merged with the association Nederlandse Praktizerende Architecten to form the Nederlandse Architecten Vereniging (which in turn merged into the BNA in 1990).
