Parel, an employee of the architectural firm Eijkelenboom and Middelhoek architects, describes part of a study conducted by the Working Group on Medical Construction (W.B.M.) on the construction of nursing homes, described in the report "The Nursing Home for Present and Future," published in mid-1971. The W.B.M. is a collaboration of three consulting firms experienced in health care, namely Eijkelenboom and Middelhoek architects, consulting Tebodin Advies- en Constructiebureau N.V. and Advies- en Administratiegroep 's Hertogenbosch. Parel describes very extensively, and with many technical details, in this article the objective values that a nursing home window should meet regarding design, daylight penetration, view, height, size, etc. (sketch size determination, sketches window design).
