Had expert figures been involved in the expansion of Epe, the situation might be completely different. In Apeldoorn there are also already examples where building comes at the expense of natural beauty. Pollution of surface waters and soil is also a problem. In the expansion of Apeldoorn, pieces of nature should be spared and a timely measure taken need not cost money. The width of roads does need to be considered and relies on future expansions. Ultimately, Van Nes proposes; a city with a different city center, each with its own amenities. The old center keeps all functions of general interest such as the main police station, the main post and telegraph company and the theater.
