It was a very successful exhibition that can still be supplemented here and there. A next exhibition could be an even greater success. The Netherlands was not fully represented due to the absence of some famous so-called "Dutch Gardens". Work was shown, however, by Henri Roeters, The J. Duim, S.G.A. Doorenbos, L. Copijn, H. Ramaer, The B. Ruys en Co firm, D.F. Tersteeg, K. van Nes and J.R. Koning, among others. England was well represented with an extensive historical section from 1500 to 1850. France seems to be bringing back the Lenôtre style. Germany did not show the quality with which gardens are made there. America showed a striving for something great. A good though incomplete impression was given of how gardens are built there. Sweden showed the most complete and best organized exhibition. Important were the gardens of Linnaeus.
