The Global Award for Sustainable Architecture, created in 2006 by the architect and professor Jana Revedin with the Cité de l’architecture & du patrimoine of Paris, rewards every year five architects who share the ethics of sustainable development and propose new experiences in the urban as well as in the rural areas. The 70 prize-winning architects since the creation of the award form a worldwide collective network of exchange and experimentation: the Global Award Community. In 2021, the Global Award questions the new links that all buildings can and must maintain today with the natural environment that surrounds them, with the subject "Architecture and nature: a new synergy? The winners of this new edition are the architects Teresa Moller (Chile), Gloria Cabral & Solano Benitez (Paraguay), José Cubilla (Paraguay), Severiano Porto (Brazil) and the sociologist Richard Sennett (USA).
