Two architectural historians, Catja Edens and Charlotte Thomas, consider the role of women in architectural history. Eva James observes that, as yet, the female gaze is almost never included in the design of public space. Wiegert Ambagts and Kaj van Boheemen write an essay on the fact that architecture is too often valued by attributes such as: rational, strong, robust, colorless, immutable, non-decorative, etcetera.
