Through multidisciplinary studies conducted by anthropologists, European policy researchers, urban planners, sociologists and historians, this book was written to look at the role of the diaspora in the Netherlands involved in the urban development task force in Indonesia's development. Over time, this task force created several development plans. However, strategies and optimization of diaspora potential in the urban sector have not yet been widely integrated into Indonesia's urban development planning policies, especially in small and medium-sized cities. This book seeks to inspire local governments, decision-makers, urban planners and the broader community to involve the diaspora in the development of Indonesia's cities.
