Maquette titled Merry-Go-Round by Ira Koers. With this design, Ira Koers breaks the traditions of the existing recreational home, which she believes has remained stuck at the stage of a scaled-down edition of the standard home. Koers turns the layout inside out. An open corridor leads the temporary occupant naturally to the alcoves in which the living functions are situated. Each room offers a view of the Drenthe landscape. Traditional rooms have been replaced by eight linked open niches in which walls, color, light, material, transparency, views and furniture have been brought together in one interior. The design has been nominated for the AM-NAI award 2010.
