Side table (Gispen Model 506)
Smallest side table of a set of three side tables (Gispen model 505) designed by W.H. Gispen. The tables have tops of lacquered plywood on a base of chromed tubular steel and can be pushed together due to the size difference. The table - unlike the other two side tables - stands in the living room of Sonneveld House next to the doors to the terrace. The residence was completed in 1933 and was built for the Sonneveld family to a design by the architectural firm Brinkman and Van der Vlugt. They were also responsible for the interior, working closely with W.H. Gispen.
