One of two cushions of a sofa, designed by L. C. van der Vlugt. The color scheme in cornflower blue is by B. van der Leck; the fabric was supplied by Metz & Co. The original cover had a Sunfirm peach cloth fabric. The sofa stood in the hall of Sonneveld House. Due to its fragility, the sofa was replaced by a remake and the sofa and the two cushions are kept in the depot of the New Institute. The house was completed in 1933 and was built for the Sonneveld family to a design by the architectural firm Brinkman and Van der Vlugt. They were also responsible for the interior, working closely with W.H. Gispen.
