Sculpture the Lion (replica)
Replica of the sculpture "The little lion" by visual artist John Raedecker. The replica was manufactured in 2001 on behalf of the reconstruction of Sonneveld House. Tobias Snoep made the mold. Het Leeuwtje' was owned by the Sonneveld family. They owned two sculptures by Raedecker, 'Het leeuwtje' and a mask. 'Het Leeuwtje' dates from 1925. It stands in the living room of Sonneveld House. This house was completed in 1933 and was built for the Sonneveld family to a design by the architectural firm Brinkman and Van der Vlugt. They were also responsible for the interior, working closely with W.H. Gispen.
