Bed (Gispen Model 756)
One of two beds in the master bedroom of Sonneveld House. The bed (Gispen model 756) has a chrome-plated steel frame with boards at the head and foot ends of veneered wood. The boards were painted the original yellow color when the house was reconstructed in 2001. House Sonneveld was completed in 1933 and was built for the Sonneveld family to a design by the architectural firm Brinkman and Van der Vlugt. They were also responsible for the interior, working closely with W.H. Gispen.
