Watercolor by the artist Jacob (Jac) Jongert. Pictured is the Van Nelle Factory in Rotterdam under construction. The tobacco factory is finished and the coffee factory is still under construction. In addition to his own name inscription with the year of painting in the lower right corner, painter Jac. Jongert has inscribed the watercolor in the lower left corner 'for A.H.S'. It is a gift from Jac. Jongert to A.H. Sonneveld, director of tobacco at Van Nelle. It is not known whether the painting actually hung in Sonneveld's house.
