Fixture floor lamp (Giso Model 451)
The fixture of the floor lamp (Giso model 451), with a round base and a shade of shantung silk. The lamp is made of nickel-plated and matted steel. It is adjustable in height. The lamp stands in the living room of Sonneveld House, next to the fireplace. House Sonneveld was completed in 1933 and was built for the Sonneveld family to a design by the architectural firm Brinkman and Van der Vlugt. They were also responsible for the interior, working closely with W.H. Gispen.
