A small model carnation vase, of mold-blown mourning purple glass. Photographs taken shortly after the completion of Sonneveld House show numerous glassware from the Leerdam glass factory. Leerdam's glassware was promoted in all the progressive interior design magazines and books in the 1920s and 1930s. The Sonneveld family may have bought it from Metz & Co in Amsterdam, but equally from Jungerhans in Rotterdam. Glassware from Leerdam was also available in the many craft shops that flourished in Rotterdam around 1930.
