Ceiling light (Giso 814, variant)
Ceiling light (Giso 814 variant) with opal glass shade in chromed metal rim. The glass shade is in the shape of a half cylinder. Officially 814 is a ceiling light executed in majolica, however this version is with a chrome rim, a variant not found in the Gispen lamp catalogs. The lamp hangs in hallway, by the stairs, on the second floor in Sonneveld House. House Sonneveld was completed in 1933 and was built for the Sonneveld family to a design by the architectural firm Brinkman and Van der Vlugt. They were also responsible for the interior, working closely with W.H. Gispen.
