Chair (Thonet Model 744)
One of two chairs by the Thonet company, in the kitchen of Sonneveld House. The chair was purchased when the house was reconstructed in 2001. The chair is made of wood and is painted in the original red color. The house was completed in 1933 and was built for the Sonneveld family to a design by the architectural firm Brinkman and Van der Vlugt. They were also responsible for the interior, working closely with W.H. Gispen.
