Painting Zuiderzee
Painting ' Zuiderzee' by the painter W.B. Tholen. The painting hung temporarily, in the period 2001-2006, above the sofa in Sonneveld House. It was then replaced by 'Achter den dam' by the painter of the same name. Achter den dam' belonged to the Sonnevelds for several decades and hung above the sofa in the sitting room of Sonneveld House. Completed in 1933, Sonneveld House was built for the Sonneveld family to a design by the architectural firm Brinkman and Van der Vlugt. They were also responsible for the interior, working closely with W.H. Gispen.
