Chair (Thonet Model 744)
Chair by the company Thonet, in the kitchen of house Sonneveld. The chair is made of wood and is painted the original red color. The survey of furnishings and upholstery November 8, 1932 states "madam had specified the color red." House Sonneveld was completed in 1933 and was built for the Sonneveld family to a design by the architectural firm Brinkman and Van der Vlugt. They were also responsible for the interior, working closely with W.H. Gispen.
